Crochet workshops consist of two cycles: basic and intermediate. The basic cycle of 3 meetings of 3 hours each is intended for beginners who want to start their adventure with Crocheting – the process of making a knitted fabric using a crochet hook.

This action aims to present and familiarize with practical examples of creating a business, taking into account the aspect of strengthening social capital, raising the knowledge of the local community in the field of environmental protection and climate change, based on the local brand.

During the workshops, participants can talk about topics related to the creation of communities, communities, group activities. During the classes, dolls are made from recycled materials, which can later be given to another woman with a selected intention.

The activity was created for women who mainly deal with domestic duties, to create an opportunity for them to learn new things and give them a space where they can spend time pleasantly and have fun. Purpose of the activity: changing the involvement of women 25+ who deal with household chores and raising children on a daily basis.

The point’s offer includes local products from a specific region, promoting and branding quality and tradition, e.g. handicrafts, honey, beekeeping products, beeswax candles, decorated wooden haberdashery, key chains, wooden figurines, Christmas decorations, decorations, etc. as well as books and albums on topics related to the region, its traditions, history, language and landscapes.

At the beginning, the participants had a meeting with a manufacturer of local products. Then all the participants got involved in the activities, dividing into teams.

During the walk, young people collected edible flowers and herbs and then created amazing pictures… which they consumed with taste while drinking a herbal drink.

After the classes, participants will analyze the meeting from the perspective of their small homeland and the opportunities it offers, opportunities for developing entrepreneurship in rural areas and raising the competences of young women in terms of contributing to their entrepreneurial skills, rural business and ecological practices.

The young women visited the Frantoio Carlo Tosti. This mill is one of the few examples in the Umbria Region where olives are still pressed following the traditional method.
 

The young women participated in the creation of ornamental plants using the Japanese Kokedama cultivation technique. Kokedama is the practice of taking the root ball of a plant and suspending it in a mud ball, which is then coated with soft green moss.

During the EPALE Edu Hack 2022 held in Rome, the team from CPIA Udine realized a game called “MasterSalad”. The competition consists of making salads judged on nutritional sustainability and environmental impact.

The activity took place at Umbraflor, the largest nursery company in the Umbria region and one of the most important in Italy in the service of economic development, environmental promotion and biodiversity protection. During the workshop, organised on the occasion of National Tree Day, the young women discussed the importance of trees and the different types found in the local area.

This training was designed to support young women to create a social action project. This training has been designed in a way that allows trainers to deliver it to both big groups as well as individuals. The course was based on the Social Action Toolkit created for The Careers & Enterprise Company, in partnership with the #iwill campaign. It was created in 2019 by the ‘think and action’ tank The Centre for Education and Youth, a Community Interest Company (CiC), and built by Marmelo. IARS International Institute modified this toolkit to make it fill the specific needs of the You_Ween project and those of our young women.

The young women visited a homestead and tasted the local products.

Lina, the owner of the homestead, asked young women questions about agriculture, crops, planting and harvesting by showing the real products from the farm.

The young women tried to produce oil by using oil making machine. Lina explained the waste management and benefits of using local products for sustainability.

The young women used natural products to make toys for different purposes. They used their creativity to shape the materials.

This activity is designed to create awareness about prevention of water pollution. On a 100-meter long section of a beach in Palanga, our team and volunteers found more than 700 pieces of garbage (more photos on Facebook).

 

 

The main aim of the training was to educate young and senior adult women and women farmers to start their business successfully and maintain it in late business development stages. The training allowed to acquire necessary knowledge for participants about starting business in the rural area (on the Lithuanian case-study). Participants also learned future potential venture handlings and how to implement innovative initiatives while being based in the rural/slightly populated areas.

The activity took place in a suitable location for carrying out the operations, in an Association of Rural Women “La Fragua”. Participants observed and learned about ingredients and materials (mushrooms, pasta, salt, oil, spices, kitchenware appropriate for the activity to be carried out such as pots, cutlery, plates, kitchen, stove, fire extinguishers, rags and napkins).

The activity took place outdoors during the permitted season for collecting wild species, with the participation of women in general and rural inhabitants/residents.

This training is designed for anyone who has interest and the desire to raise bees and apply biotechnical methods can apply for the training, and encourages especially the participation of young women from rural areas. The education programme, which lasts almost 4 months, comprises 7 thematic modules with 110 classes in total.

Professional training aimed at young women from three municipalities in the country – Aerodrom, Centar and Mavrovo Rostuše. The trainings included 45 women who applied for the development of their skills for several occupations, in demand on the labor market.
